In Old Norse, Hellir means cave—a place of shelter, stillness, and sacred transformation. In Norse mythology, caves were portals between worlds. They were said to hold the wisdom of the gods, the whispers of fate, and the silence in which strength is born. Legend tells that Odin, the Allfather, discovered the runes of knowledge in a hidden cavern beneath the world tree, Yggdrasil—a secret only revealed to those who dared to seek truth in the dark.
This ring holds the spirit of such stories. Its surface echoes stone shaped by time, tide, and quiet resilience. Forged not to gleam with perfection, but to honour beauty in imperfection—Hellir is a ring for those who listen deeply, move quietly, and find strength in solitude.
Grounded, mythical, and enduring—it’s more than a ring. It’s a reminder that the most powerful stories begin in stillness. That wisdom is often hidden in shadow. And that true beauty is always worth unearthing.

Our silver rings are crafted in small batches by a family-run artisan workshop in Bali. We prioritise slow production over mass manufacturing—minimising waste and preserving traditional craftsmanship.
Wearing Øy Fine Silver supports a more conscious model of jewellery—rooted in artistry, community, and care for both people and the planet.
-
Arv means “inheritance” in Norwegian—a word that carries memory, legacy, and the quiet power of what we hold dear. The Arv Collection is Øy Atelier’s evolving line of handcrafted fine silver jewellery, forged in solid sterling silver and inspired by Nordic landscapes, myth, and ancestral craftsmanship.
Each ring is sculpted with intention, echoing the textures of caves, coastlines, and carved stone—reminders of what came before and what we carry within. These are pieces to wear close, keep with you, and eventually pass on.
Made for those who value meaning over trend and craftsmanship over convention—this collection is your inheritance.

Øy Atelier is a family-run slow fashion brand rooted in Scandinavian design, island living, and the rhythm of the sea. Founded by Norwegian sisters Margrethe and Solveig Jacobsen Rosvoll—together with their mother, Anne—Øy reflects three generations of creativity, from their grandmother’s handcrafted traditions to their own surf-inspired designs.
We create timeless resortwear and accessories guided by what we feel, what we love, and how we live—shaped by our upbringing on Norwegian islands, our surf-shaped days in Bali, and the quiet joy of making something by hand. Each collection is an expression of coastal living and creative freedom, blending vintage silhouettes, Scandinavian minimalism, and a bohemian spirit shaped by the sea. Our pieces include soft cotton kimonos, sailor pants, bohemian wrap tops, and hand-crocheted surf hats—crafted slowly and sewn in small batches by women artisans in Seseh, using traditionally woven fabrics from Java.
Whether worn on coastal adventures or chosen as a meaningful gift, Øy pieces are made to be lived in, loved, and passed on. This is clothing and jewellery with soul—timeless, sun-warmed, and always connected to story. Designed for surfers, creatives, and coastal bohemians who dress with a quiet sense of freedom.
